I just finshed replacing the head gaskets on my 88 K1500 with a 5.7L TBI engine. It is the best this puppy has ever ran! I will have to admit that it now has some pretty smooth accelration and fair amount of power. It is no hot rod by far, but I'm pretty happy with it. As a matter of fact I was toying with the idea of building a 71/72 GMC 4x4 with a vortec headed TBI. But that is in the far future.
