Made some more progress. After fighting getting the oil pan down to clear the timing cover

, I decided to go ahead and put on the heads. Cover up them holes and stop any flash rust.

After that and a brain clearing conversation with Indian113 I found I was fighting myself, not the pan. I had missed a couple bolts

So then got the timing cover, timing set off.

Tomorrow I should have the cam in etc.
