GMPP stands for "General Motors Performance Parts". Dual plane medium rise intakes like this one are optimized for best performance from idle to 3500 rpm. A single plane high rise will perform better at higher rpms but sacrifice low end power. This intake is great for a street engine, but not the best design for a dedicated drag car.
