Got a new upper rad hose tonight. Brought one I had with a picture of where it didn't fit and guesstimated based on the ones hanging up. Found one that was supposedly a lower hose for some other vehicle and it looks like it was made to fit the truck going right up and over the fan shroud. Didn't have to trim at all...nice when a plan comes together
Got the lower rad hose and the heater hoses also on and clamped down so I'm ready to add water and fire it up. It was raining off and on so I couldn't pull it out of the garage so hopefully I'll have better weather Saturday afternoon and Sunday to work on it and actually fire it up for the first time (in the truck---the engine was out of an earlier 70 longbed I had and is a recent rebuild.
