here it is first there is a bolt under the tailgate that i believe is 9/16" that will have to be removed on both sides of the trunnions, then lower the tail gate and make sure you have someone there to help you hold it while you take off the upper bolt which is 9/16". Once that bolt is out the trunnion plate holding the tail gate will slide up or down to allow you to remove the tail gate.
