The window is the same size. One could have 3 screws the other could have 2 screws at the top of the door. It does matter about year it depends on the plant they was built in. I have 2 sets of vent windows that came out of a 86 and 87. The 86 has 3 screws and the 87 two holes. As long as they have the same amount of holes they should fit.
