There are length issues with difference in years, possibly spline count too. Plus there is the possibility that the six lugger could be from a 4 wheel drive?
Are the leaf spring pads under the axle? or above? Pictures?

As far as swapping parts around, yes. The carrier and gears would fit in the other housing, but it is not a simple bolt-in thing. Gear set-up is a very touchy thing, it needs to be perfect, which is harder to do with used gears.
Ultimately, if you did this to gain a posi unit and gear ratio change.....I wouldn't go through the hassle. Who knows how much wear is on the clutches of the posi unit.....assuming that it really is one.
Rather than dealing with mixing and trying to match parts, buy a new posi unit, pay a pro to install it in your original housing, and be done with it....
Sell the other stuff.
