Ah dang well the problem with stick is your rods need to be dry so typically kept in an oven although great for thicker material and is a totally different technique because you need to move towards the material (feed the rod) as you make that side to side motion I always thought if I were to go big 240v I'd go stick/tig combo because if one can't do the other can. But if you just want to upgrade your mig and you are stuck with 140 plan on upgrading to 240 at some point or want to be able to go back and forth apparently the lincoln 180 is great for that it will run like a 140c on 110v and when you need more juice toss it on a 240v circuit.
