The Vortec is a great option, in my opinion. You'll need a carbureted Vortec intake and a flex plate adapter if you're sticking with the TH350, but that's not a big deal. My truck is getting a Vortec with a Quadrajet and HEI. Of course, that's after I get all the painting and other stuff done.
