I did 66 C1000 brake job in 2006. New front drums, all new wc,new mc, front flex and all new shoes. Those are the worst drum brake shoes I've ever experienced; and I've installed my share. Bad from day 1. Hard pedal but I don't think truck would skid on wet road. I noticed the shoes have hair line cracks when I cleaned them a while back. Cleaning helped zero.

I have some Raybestos 228PG in the mail. I'm hoping they will work.
