I have a 1975 Fuel gauge out of my truck. I'll measure coil resistance with a DVM and let you know. Removing fuel gauge is not too difficult of a job . Also, the soft PCB circuit, which is used as a backplane for your instrument cluster may have a poor connection due to corrosion (with age). However, because you are getting a small current (you did not say how much!) the circuit is probably is complete and just the movement on the gauge is FUBAR. B4N
