The wheels I posted above are silver base with full gloss clear topcoat. You shoot the base, do a partial cure, shoot the clear, and cure again. The base and the clear melt together during the second cure cycle.
I clear most every job I coat, but I'm vain and made my reputation as being the king of bling. It really adds to the visual "pop".
