Long tube headers are a must for this engine. Substantial performance gains. You will need to notch the power steering bracket a little to get them to fit and the alignment pins in the heads will need to come out and be tapped. Clifford performance has a tech page that will tell you about optimum exhaust set up. I would do exactly as they prescribe, they have 1000's of straight-six research hours and dyno testing.

After that an intake from CLifford, water heated. Heated is important to help balance mixture in the outer cylinders. Very easy to hook up. Watch your header flanges and make sure they are the same width as the intake so they will mount evenly.
