I've got an 80's step bumper on the back of mine. I was leaning towards taking them out the back but with no chrome tips and was thinking I would have them stop just under bumper and not protrude past bumper. I was also thinking I would have them a little wider than what OregonNed's are. Not all the way out to quarters....but a little wider.
I was also thinking about putting my spare back underneath my bed....
