I had flowmasters on my '69, and it wasn't bad at all in the cab.

I have flowmasters now and with them cut under the bed....I get the drowne at highway speeds you speak of. i didn't know if it would be any better turned out the side. Can pipes be routed out the back and still fit a spare underneath?
I concur with Swamp Rat about the chrome tips looking ragged after a few years. Don't know if I like the slight turn down tip or just straight pipe tip. Hmmm
