I also found out that the bumper mounts and the bumper from an earlier 60's model wont fit on a 66 for the same reason. I cant remember the exact width difference but i think it was approximately 6-8 inches difference between the two.

the differences in these years 1960-62 and 1963-66 are the rear frame section is wider on the 63-66 the 60-62 has a boxed front frame section and no coil springs. the front bumpers do not interchange because the mounts are different but the frames are the same width. i hope i helped
