Do you have a 4" drop in the rear like mine? It only leaves about 2-3" of clearance.

A c notch is the best solution but shock extenders correct the angle of the bottom mount and allow your shocks to work properly. Together with a set of the correct length gas shocks (stock, not drop shocks) the ride is always better. I measure then cross reference the Monroe chart and find a light truck shock with the correct mounting and length. Best price on the extenders:
