I'm not clear on what you're asking. The only dual 2 barrel manifolds I've ever seen were for flathead Ford engines. I've never seen this arrangement on a Chevy V8. If you're asking about triple two barrels, I owned one car with that arrangement and loved it. Basically the engine runs on the single 2 barrel carburetor in the middle, just as if it had a 2 barrel manifold. Then when the throttle is floored the other two cut in until all 3 reach wide open at the same time.

A triple two barrel intake is the most fun induction system I've ever owned.
