I run into lot of those types at work also. I work on elevators and they are everywhere out here in Los Angeles.
Really funny when you look at them like they are tourists and also talk to them that way, they usually tell me'' sorry I am from here'' and I reply. '' Don't worry I can tell'' then just walk away.
Sometimes I will turn around to see there expression and they stand there staring at me confused as I walk away.
