I'm just getting started on my swb stepside but I will share what I know.

My dad's bed (my truck was his before) rotted out but he made is own bed from 1/8 inch steel plate and plug welded it to the frame (easy enough to take off, just unbolt and jack up). So that is one solution for you there. Bolting it down with carriage bolts may be even easier.

The rear fenders can be bought aftermarket but no one makes a side spare tire one (I'm currently searching for OEM).

I've never seen a lwb stepside in person.....it seems to depend on where one lives.
