That's a lot of oil... I had a 1979 GMC K2500 High Sierra with a 350 that would burn a quart every week. So I would add a quart every Friday, and only change the filter every 3,000 miles.
Then I rebuilt it finally.
There are aftermarket heads available that will bolt on using all the old stuff. They will even be cheaper that having the old stockers rebuilt.
