Re: Decent finds at Fall Carlisle

Now the partial story on the 64 K10.
60,000+ original miles.
H in the serial number indicates it was Cali built. What plant again factorystock?
The present owner was told it's from Oregon.
He assumes there was a camper unit on it that caused the surface rust on the back of the cab by leaves trapped between.
Original spare tire mount in the rear of the box.
Wood floor with traces of black paint on them.
Someone cut the tailgate with a torch in the form of a T below the stamped C.???? Why???
Rear bumper was repainted. You can see the rub marks on the rear tail light panels where original rubber seals would have been between the bumper and panel.
Plated inspected and registered in the state of Delaware.

Beautiful seat in this truck. Don't know if it's the correct vinyl, but wow.
Base model.
Accessories: Deluxe Heater, Locking Hubs, Warn Winch, Spare Tire Mount, Rear Bumper, Deluxe Gauge Instrument Panel, Day Night mirror someone installed, not original to the truck.
Custom made floor mat with aftermarket shifter boots and sill plates.
Windshield replaced with a new tinted upper section.
Warn Winch control panel by left knee under the dash.

Warn Winch with newly painted front bumper and 3 nub 15" wheels ( wheels should be black like the spare).
The grille letters were repainted with a brush and shaky hand.
Inner fenders in great condition, surface rust but not through and through.
292 with the original Oil Bath air cleaner replaced by a AC Paper Element.
Aftermarket Battery Cables and Tie Downs.
Super clean firewall though I assume someone washed it and removed the original crayon markings.
Under the truck is oil/grease free.No rust or rot anywhere. Just original, accept for the new General Radials

I sat and talked to the present owner for 2+ hours about this truck. There was always someone looking at it. Most scratching their heads trying to figure this one out. It worked in it's lifetime as revealed by the few dings and dents. It was taken care of though, not pampered.
One guy who stopped to look said he'd drive this for the winter to save his YJ from the salted winter roads. My jaw and testicles dropped!
The present owners name is John and his cell number is (302) 994-7626.
