I did it 2 different ways, one with a Y splitter and another with the 2 wires that John pulled from the computer (CAN Hi/Low). As long as the gauges are plugged in and "scanning", the diagnostic tool won't work. I talked to John at Speartech and he said his gauges are designed to turn off whenever the diagnostic tool requests data from the OBDII port. I'll be interested to see if your cable works and your gauges continue to display. LMK.
