Typically for drag setups the rear axle is shortened quite a bit to keep the large wheels as close to in the body itself... Basically that truck is using the same type of axle setup as top fuel dragsters (or styled a lot after it anyway) very narrow and really wide slicks (not sure on the width)

Although I have never setup a drag truck, my limited experience has been on a custom drag quad which was setup a lot like that.
