Re: Frame Dimensions 2WD
I believe there my be a manual steering frame and a power steering frame for the 67's.
Both my 67 C10 truck and 67 C10 Suburban have the clearance dimple provisions needed for a typical power steering gear box and are unmodified original frames. The partial VIN on both are correct and are 67's for sure. The truck SPID did not show PS as an option but the Sub did. I have put newer power steering gear boxes onto both and they fit perfectly with no mods. I have seen other 67 frames where the PS gear box did not clear. Might be one of the common GM shortages during production situations where they substituted a power steering frame into a truck that did not call for it because the correct part was not on hand when needed.
The front section of the truck frame interchanges but the back half kicks up & back down where the Suburban frame stays flat after the kick up. Back half body mounts are different between the two as well.
What are you trying to do that needs the frame swap?
