Depends on which starter you use. With the offset bolt holes in the starter nose, like your 305 has, you would need the 14" 168 tooth flexplate. I can't remember if a 71 block will work with offset starters or not, but with a straight across bolt pattern on the nose it uses a 12-1/2" 153 tooth flexplate.
