I haven't any experience with either.
I settled on a th350 to tide me over if I ever decide to get an auto with od.
I have considered both these. I was leaning toward the 2004r because of some of the posts in these forums prefering the shifting of the 2004r over the 700r4.
You can google 700r4 vs 2004r and you'll get lots of hits.
