Are the intake and exhaust ports on the head what you speak of? if so I was looking on inliners international and langdon stovebolt a 4 angle valve job is highly recommended when building any L6
-20 ° top, 45-46 ° seat, 65 ° throat, 80 ° bottom
the block itself if worse comes to worse either a not worry about it because big power gain is not a goal with my L6 or if i refuse to not do a turbo i could grab a 292 block i think the exhaust ports a little bit larger.
