I have a friend who has an 81 Burb, and a 91 Silverado light duty 3/4 ton. The Silverado has a great engine+trans, but the rest is a just beat up. It has the 350/700R4 combo, and the Burbs is tired plus burns oil.

I know the engine, and tranny are very basic for a swap. Also the tranny uses a mechanical speedo so it looks pretty straight forward to my eyes.

On the fuel system can I use the C2500 fuel sender in the carb'd burban tank or do I need to use a burban unit.

So when we were looking it seems the engine management does not tie into the chassis wiring. Is this true? If he goes through with this I do not want to get tied into a 1000 pick a part runs to correct anything.
