theres nothing wrong with a 454 but unless its built like a ls5 or ls6 from 70 its not going to be a powerhouse. but all the money to convert it to efi and add overdrive. you could though possibly get a vortech 454 and 4l80e and with a little work kill the 6.0. out of the box the 6.0 though would be the best choice.
