Around here short beds are just harder to find. I looked off and on for about 10 years to find one that the owner didnt think was made out of gold.
In my own personal opinion, which matters about as much as the kid cooking french fries at the local McDonalds. The short beds should bring about 1500 to 2000 more in rough driving condition then a long bed. And in perfect condition probably 5 to 7000 more.
Thats just by going off of my general experiance shopping around over the years.

Had to add... now that I have mine, I also think its made out of gold.....LOL
