Thanks guys. I have considered getting a 6 lug and having axle shafts made to fit with 5 lugs but width is an issue. The 454SS axle is almost the exact same width as the 72 12 bolt I currently have. Also I know the 4x4 6 lug version is considerably wider. However I don't know exactly how wide the 6 lug 2wd version is from under a light duty 3/4 ton 2wd. I think they are the same housing/width as the 5 lug 454SS axle, but I haven't been able to confirm that.
