Let me just say that I'm not doing the swap because the old 350 was a bad engine, because it was an excellent engine. It was surprisingly reliable with 300k miles on it and a lot more left in it. I'm doing the swap because these newer LQ's are so dang good. I hope to see solid horsepower gains, slightly better fuel economy, more reliability, and just more coolness.
