not bad to periodically start it in the winter. if you don't have a battery tender like ogre was talking about, you can disconnect the battery and call it good if its in warm storage. if its cold storage, i suggest pulling the battery out and storing it somewhere warm so it doesn't freeze.
other than that, fill it up like ogre said. i'd recommend just putting some sea foam or a similar product in with it and call it a day
