Upon further examination I agree with you about that red wire and the green wire!!
It looks like it was hooked up correctly with the green wire originally.
Is that a crazy red air horn I see in your engine pic dinnut? Maybe someone needed a longer wire so they spliced in the red wire to the horn wire. Just a Thought.
