With all the other areas that need attention on truck, I think a $450 fix will have to do as opposed to a $1500 fix. In the llong run, I do want to replace the bed and repaint the entire truck, but for now, I think cutting an inch away from the fenders, and sealing the metal with a bedliner protectant followed up by the flares. Its a midnight blue truck so I think the black flares will look good anyway.
