i am building a 292 with just a cam, intake, and headers. ought to be a good conversation piece. not looking to knock down ten seconds, but it will definitely be a new animal.

why do ANOTHER v8? blech! your engine bay has so much room for activities! i personally love the sound of the sewing machine under the hood. you can hear the rockers and the carb whine, otherwise i cant even tell my 292 was running. i LOVE the L6 motors. i say get after it, and build a *****in motor. get a second job first.

take a look at this book, its got lots of concepts and how to really fine tune your motor. most of it will probably be way overboard for you, but the information in there is tried and true, and can be considered superior.
