That works. Either that, or change the breather out for a different style one. all it has to do is allow fresh, filtered air into the crankcase.
cool68 brought up a good point. The all-in-one. Check what you have. (you may be all set.)
Personally, I don't like them/ use them, that's why I forgot. Haven't even looked at one since the early '80's.
