yes you would need shorter shocks in the rear but only if you went as far as removing the original bump stops or c-notch. the same for the front if you used drop spings, but not if you ONLY used dropped spindles.
I emailed a few shock companys and so far monroe was the only one that got back to me. They did not have a cross refrence for what I wanted but they sent me a spec sheet with all there shocks. I forgot the info at work but I will post it as soon as I can.
They make some really nice performance shocks, but I just dont need to spend $200 + on them. For my type of driving, using plain gas shocks would be more then fine.
