Wiring it up is dead simple....just follow the directions that come with the tach. Four wires is all it takes....the instructions make it ultra easy.
Black wire-ground (any clean metal surface on the truck)
Green wire-tach feed (TACH terminal on HEI)
Red wire-power, any source that is hot with the ignition is on (IGN UNFUSED terminal in fusebox works great)
White wire-Backlighting wire, i tapped into the wire that lights up the heater controls light bulb.
Very, very easy to do. Only took me 20 minutes or so when i installed it on the steering collumn.
