I'm only planning on running 33-35" tires and I can beef up a D44 enough to handle those size tires just fine, D44 axles have more aftermarket than a corp. 10 bolt. I'd like to keep 1/2 ton running gear if I can just because it will save some trouble of changing stuff over to 3/4 ton. I won't be getting a D60 anytime soon anyway so I wouldn't be running anything stronger than a 44 with most likely a 12 bolt rear with lockright lockers.
