I thought when I first saw the trailer connector that someone had drilled a hole in the body panel but after removing it the hole appears to be stamped cut. Was this a factory installed trailer connector? Just curious. Even the wiring harness appears to be factory. A crazy place to put a trailer connector. Anybody seen this before?
Not factory.

a) No factory trailer connectors until much later.

b) That is a terrible looking hole. Looks like a beaver chewed it. Not a factory cut.
