Hi Boynton, my 5.3 with the stock truck oil pan sat about 1 1/2- 2" below crossmember so when i did an engine overhaul recently i swapped in a 98-02 camaro/ firebird ls1 pan and all is well. bottom of pan is now about 1" above crossmember. I used the 2001 truck organ donor mounts and made my own perches. Works well with trailblazer a/c compressor. If i was to do it all over again i would source everything from trailblazer-envoy-rainer 5.3/6.0 for the mounts, a/c compressor (suction/discharge ports in-line front to back) motor mounts with the cast iron brackets to engine, a/c lines and possible condenser out front.
