if you're going for pure pre-runner style, lose the inner fender wells, bed floor and lighten the truck as much as possible!! get high arched springs, (lift or 3/4 ton springs, and soften them up by losing a leaf or 2. quad shock the front end. one shock is on the outside of the spring, i think you can fit another on the inside of the spring!! i have heard of people doing this on c-10's, but never saw it myself. body lifts are bad. roll bars are good. lock the rear with the trusty MIG welder and hit the trails!! i've done a 4X2 ranger in this style, and it romped with a 4 banger!!
