If you have not started yet, or after you remove the hood, and have some extra room and a friend, I strongly recommend removing the dog house. you will thank yourself in the end.

Much easier to clean and paint and place the engine and trans, fuel lines and A/C components.

You can remove the electrical connections at the firewall and not have to cut a wire!
The only wires I did not reuse was the small wire on the old alternator!

Study the wiring before you remove anything, new and old.
