Grinding/Rubbing When Turning While Stopped

Hey guys,

I am new here, my other post is probably close but i would like to address my first issue and see if anyone has some insight.

Anyways my steering grinds when I turn the wheels while stopped and it feels like there is an enormous strain on the spring in there. I am a strong guy and I can turn them but does that part need to be lubed or anything?

I am looking into power steering on the parts board with no luck so in the mean time I need to get that fixed.

It straightens itself out fine but it sort of sounds like opening up an old wooden manual garage with old springs. Thats the best I can describe it.

I will post a picture, maybe that will help?
