Depending what tranny your coming from, the o/d tranny might be longer. You don't want to have to put your engine 3" forward just to keep the same DS. They arent' that expensive, and its not a bad idea to get a better one made for that matter. The yolk is also a factor in length, and if it needs to be changed you might as well just have a shaft made.

Where the engine goes is where it goes, I'm just over budget a bit is the reason i asked in the first place
