Re: project 65/66 C30 sanford & Son's
So that last update was for day off #1, So after I saw that I really needed to replace both the lower A and B pillar and after a little online shopping at topbanna I had the parts I needed to move forward on day off #2. I have read here that most people start from the inside and work out. But my thought was that since my lower posts were pretty much toast I did not really have anything to go by, so I took the approach of working from the outside in. I have found that since I have a little air compressor an air powered cutoff wheel is slow and time consuming, I then tried an electric cutoff wheel from harbor freight($25) and it works well, but does have a duty cycle. so finally I arrived at using a 4in grinder with the proper cutoff wheel and man this is the ticket! fast and clean
I started with the A Pillar....
Then I moved on to the B pillar...I don't really have any good shots of this part because I got on a roll and totally forgot to take pictures
The scrap pile is starting to grow
