You could get a length of nylon tubing from your local parts house and a couple of ferrels to install it until you put your electric unit in, or, just plug the outlet in the block until you install the new unit. I used to use copper tubing, but the new nylon/plastic tubes that come with the after market gauge sets are far less susceptible to vibration. The biggest issue with these are the ferrels. They want to be snug, but you can't torque down on them like you would a copper flare.
