With multiple carbs I would also make sure your fuel lines and gas tank are in excellent condition, if not I would replace every bit of it andthoroughly flush the lines out to remove any debris from the installation. The main reason people have problems with multiple carbs is trash in the fuel system, once set up multiple carbs should not need any more maintenance than a single carb.
